SUMMER CAMPS WERE FUN!

We had two different sessions of piano summer camp. June and July camps had classes for both younger and older beginners. In July, there was also a Fine Arts Camp for returning students. There were sessions of piano, folk dancing, and art. The last day of camp was a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas. Students enjoyed the interactive exhibit, Choreographic Objects. In between the piano camps, I taught a music education course at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. I also enjoy teaching teachers! I taught the how to teach using the Kodaly approach of music education. The summer has past so quickly! I have made out the schedule for the new piano year which begins in September. I always loved the start of a new school year when I taught school. It's the same now for me at the piano studio. It is so rewarding to start fresh and watch each student's progress during the year.
