PLAY IS THE WORK OF CHILDHOOD

"Play is the work of childhood" is a quote from Mr. Rogers. I love it. This statement fits exactly what is happening in piano classes for beginners. The students "play and play". They learn new musical concepts through game songs. They play the games then learn to play these game songs on the piano/keyboards. To the students, it's play. For me as their piano teacher, I see them acquiring knowledge through the musical concepts that are found in the songs. And they just think they're playing!

DUCKS AND GEESE is a fun chase game. This is a song for treble clef, playing F and D.
